Funny.

Jon Snow criticised mid-interview by panellist who tells him 'not everyone hates the Tories as much as you do'

Presenter Jon Snow has criticised an interviewee on Channel 4 News following the furore over his alleged anti-Tory remarks at Glastonbury.

The journalist has insisted he has “no recollection” of shouting a four letter derogatory remark about the Conservative Party after he was accused of doing so at Glastonbury Festival.

But while conducting an interview on Channel 4 News on Wednesday night, Matthew Kilcoyne from the Adam Smith Institute think tank told the presenter: "not everyone hates the Tories as much as you do".

Mr Snow responded: "You can say that - but that is actually a very unpleasant thing to have done".

A photo of the Channel 4 News presenter posing with a group of revellers was posted on Twitter by a user with the handle Danny Millea on Monday evening.

The accompanying tweet claimed Mr Snow had shouted “Fuck the Tories”.

It said: “Boss place that Glasto. Having a dance with Jon Snow and hearing him shout ---- the tories is what dream are made of”.

People said everyone's attention spans are shortening and people wouldn't read or watch long drawn out things ...
then kids started reading endless Harry Potter doorstops and people watched 5,000 episodes of box sets of the Sopranos or Breaking Bad or The Wire or Mad Men or Game of Thrones.

I am hopeful people will realise that everyone's voice isn't equal and it's worth paying for a properly trained journalist or writer rather than everyone with an arsehole being regarded as equally valid a voice.
Bring back experts and people with talent and a way with words.

The first person in the media who said 'we will be reading out some of the messages you have sent in' should be disembowelled

I think it is premature to predict the end of traditional media. I remember the same thing being said 40 years ago when Ceefax came on the scene. These things go in cycles and the optimist in me hopes that people will ultimately reach the conclusion that rolling news is not the same as reliable news and that there are some things that cant be explained in 140 characters.

The reality is that the cyber news media is giving the comfy print and radio/tv media a run for its money and it does not like it one bit.

It's almost like everyone is capable of being an on the spot reporter now and that really gets up the nose of the likes of Ferrari. I like some of his opinions but the days of his ilk are numbered because old media and it's adherents will wither on the vine

Johnson 1.45;
I am not a fan of The Canary but she was right. The media is disproportionately inhabited - much like politics – by people who have no life experience and are not representative of modern Britain. That is not, as the woman said, a controversial statement: it is a fact.
For balance, on the same debate, Ferrari was right too. The rise of untrained, unregulated and unreliable ‘new media’ sites is at least an equal threat to the fast disappearing concept of fair and balanced reportage.

Its apt that Jon Snow was at Glastonbury, as coming the days after the solstice it really does signify that winter is coming.

Do i get a prize?

Also any fellow lefty who isn't 100% behind Corbyn (except his being pro Brexit) Is a "Blairite".

These new breed Momentum leftists are the new religious extremists.

Re: Ch4 News' Jon Snow
It's a deliberate tactic of the hard left. Any media source or think-tank that is centre or even centre-left is attacked as being 'Tory' (n.b. the BBC) and anything that's hard left is lauded as being neutral.

You see it on here all the time.

Re: Ch4 News' Jon Snow
His punishment for shouting Fuck the Tories should be to interview Theresa May.
That would put him off that sentiment quick smart

The editor of the supposedly independent Canary website showed her true colours on Question Time last night.

What is it with these lefty fuckwits who think their burning bias and slant should be considered independent, neutral and therefore a reliable news source.

Can see why wankers like Branded Eddie B it on to here so much now.

True, Johnson is not the 1st politician to be sacked twice; does the name Peter Mandelson ring any bells? so if Snow did say it and is lying back tracking then he will more than likely receive a similar punishment from his employers.

Please note, I only used Mandelson as an example, I'm not extreme left, or right of the politcal scale.

Marr is as biased towards Labour as they come.

Not sure if Ray was fishing or is just clueless.

Never going to get impartial people doing jobs like this, they like everyone else can't help having their own views.

Just the way this gay, pc, human rights world has gone, that some soppy left winger would face the sack for shouting out 'Fuck the Tories'.

I mean who gives a shit really?

Re: Ch4 News' Jon Snow
If he denies it he will:

A. Fuck up his new found rep of being one of the absolute boys
B. Call his new Glasto friend a liar
C. Appear to his enemies to have lowered himself enough to give credit to a pointless social media rumour

It makes perfect sense for someone in his position to neither confirm or deny it.

Re: Ch4 News' Jon Snow
I do find it hilarious that Jon Snow is being brought down by an obvious lie on Twitter from a lefty hipster at Glasto who thought it would be epic banta to make up a story about him being one of the boys.
